When it comes to achieving your goals, sharing them with others can be a game-changer. Here's why:
1️⃣ Accountability Boost:
By sharing your goals with trusted friends, family, or mentors, you create a sense of accountability. They can offer support, encouragement, and gentle reminders to keep you focused and motivated along your journey.
Writing my first book, I was in two accountability groups. One was an intensive coaching group and the second a smaller more intimate group. Now, I’m honored to lead a group that is the perfect combination of the two. As writers, we need each other to speak louder than the voices in our heads. If you need an accountability group, join my Publish & Tell Coaching Community today. I promise you’ll accomplish more over the next six months with me, than without me—no matter your stage in the writing process.
2️⃣ Collective Energy:
When you share your goals, you tap into the power of collective energy. The positive vibes and support from others can uplift your spirits, provide fresh perspectives, and fuel your determination to reach new heights.
Momentum is powerful and sometimes, as writers, we need a good shove in the right direction. When we surround ourselves with others moving in the same direction we want to go, we can’t help but stay focused and on track. Sharing ideas, seeing what is working for others, or hearing the questions you didn’t even know you had, can bring much-needed energy and clarity.
3️⃣ Unexpected Opportunities:
Sharing your goals opens doors to unexpected opportunities. You never know who might be listening or who might have connections, resources, or insights that can help propel you toward your goals faster than you ever imagined.
Why reinvent the wheel, by hanging out with other author friends, you will learn about new marketing strategies, podcasts to be interviewed on, magazines to be listed in, and so much more. You may find your next writing partner or illustrator. You never know what opportunities will come your way if you open the door to possibilities.
4️⃣ Celebrate Milestones: When you share your goals, you give others a chance to celebrate your milestones and victories with you. Their cheers and applause can boost your confidence, remind you of your progress, and keep you motivated during challenging times.
Isn’t it great when you’re in the company of those who “get you”? I mean understand what it means to hit a target word count, grow a launch team, or finalize your cover design. As authors, we speak our own language and it can be challenging and lonely to celebrate your writing goals if no one really gets them. I get them, and I celebrate them!
Remember, sharing your goals doesn't make them any less valid or achievable. On the contrary, it amplifies your commitment, builds a support network, and creates a powerful ripple effect that propels you toward success. It’s time to commit to your goals. Join my Publish & Tell Coaching Community today and watch your progress unfold.
Don't hesitate! Share your goals, embrace the collective energy, and let the world witness your journey of growth, achievement, and transformation. Together, we can accomplish amazing things!
